So, reading the news on Reddit this morning I came across This, which led me more and more to think about how little as actually changed in the past 3 years. Very little, especially compared to the first 3 years of the aughts when the GOP could steamroll whatever they wanted through. And very very little compared to the great Change we were promised.
Most liberals get so busy hating the other side, and and want so badly to root for someone, that we cheer any small scrap of concession we get. Not all, though, it seems. Going back to the Reddit link for the article I found This.
Which certainly mirrors some of the frustrations I've felt over the past 3 years.
"The smart way to keep people passive & obedient is to strictly limit the spectrum of acceptable opinion, but allow very lively debate within that spectrum."
Which is what we do. Nobody serious is advocating any real change to how we do business. And, no "Win the future" is not real change, it's a fucking slogan.
